Project MyWay #29–Silk Wrap Top

PMW29I made this top to wear to a piano concert at an outdoor pavilion. I wanted to look nice, but not over the top because it was outside. I wore this top with very dark wash jeans, high heeled sandals and what else? my DKNY cozy!

I had an idea for the top in my head and I started with Butterick 5245 because of the fullness in the shoulders and the wrapped top. I just lengthened the bodice and after the top was constructed, I pleated the right front and added the ties.

I found the greatest method for turning fabric tubes! I’ll never fret over it again, it’s one of those, “why didn’t I think of that” things. Here’s the link–Handmade Things,Thank you Jules!
