Happy Mother’s Day Oma! We’re off to Southern Illinois to spend Mother’s Day with my mother-in-law.
I made her this tunic with some of my Salwar Kameez fabric from India.
I used Simplicity 2696, view E and added the binding at the hem and the bottom of the sleeves. Eat your heart out, Tory Burch!
I think she’s going to love it–I’ll post a picture of her wearing it on Monday.
TTFN!
Hi,
I added your blog to a new sewing blog directory http://welovetosew.blogspot.com/ that sort blogs by freshness. The blogs with new posts are always moved up to the top. Please check it out and recommend it to your sewing blogger friends!
Thank you!

WOW. I love your tunic! Gorgeous tunic and a beautiful model!
you did such a great job and it looks wonderful on her!!! I was just about to buy this pattern tonight, then decided it wasn’t close enough to my tory burch ideal to go ahead with it… but I’ll go back to the fabric store tomorrow and get it- thank you!!
Thanks Colleen! I did like this pattern very much but one warning…she had a VERY hard time pulling it on and off over her head. I ended up putting a zipper in the side seam to give her more room to wiggle.
Yaaay! Thank you SO much for sharing that pattern. Now I can make my own Salwar Kameez! I can’t think you enough!
