I admire your spunk messing with pattern, I simply gave up on patterns after I realized that they NEVER fit me and simply guestimate most of what I do. Since it tends to be medieval these days, it isn't too problematic. But I have learned since doing the *medieval thing: Buttonholes can be done lovely and comparatively easy and clean by hand (especially if you only have to do a dozen and not like me ad nauseum the entire fron down ;)) and the best thing, you can do it while you are watching TV or listen to some show. Once you have figured out how to do them you'll never like the machine ones all that well. or (not with velvet) you can make piping buttonholes, once you know the trick, it is easier (IMHO) than making sure the buttonholes are evenly long and clean via the machine stitching version.
Again: chapeau!

I used the Michael Kors pattern referred to in the post; Vogue 2986...BUT I made several changes to the pattern, i.e. shortening it, raising the roll line. I explained my changes in the article.

Good luck with your jacket!

What pattern was used for this Jacket ??
I was wondering if you could help me im trying to make a "Vampire Knight" Night Class uniform Jacket but I cannot find the correct pattern and yours is the closest I've seen. Would you be so kind as to let me know.
You assistance would be greatly valued.
