My latest sewing endeavors

Project MyWay #21–Yellow Balmacaan Coat

280Of course I had my heart set on a Balmacaan raincoat at a time when there are almost zero raglan sleeved coat patterns available. Luckily, Simplicity 2858 was pretty close to what I wanted and I didn’t have to fuss around with it too much. I love how it turned out. (more…)

Project MyWay #16–Phillip Lim 3.1 Knock-off Jacket

Project MyWay #13–Ella Moss Knock-off Dress

It’s time to stop dreaming and get sewing! The first project on my list is a season spanning dress. I liked both of these designs from Ella Moss’ Fall 2007 so I combined them into a dress I know I’ll wear a ton–with a scarf and cami now and later with black tights, booties and a black leather jacket. Project MyWay #12–Top Sewn with Fabric from India

I knew the fabrics I brought back from India would easily find a way into my wardrobe. It was cool enough to wear jeans last week (yea!) and I wanted something fresh to wear with my favorite pair. I whipped up this Butterick 3385 top with the Salwar Kameez fabric I showed you in my post, Fabrics from India. (more…)
